BEHR Radiator weirdness with pics!

Hi guys,

I recently bought a brand new Behr OEM radiator from my local motor factors.
They shipped in the unit from Germany. The box said something about Behr Hella service on it.
Anyway opened it all up and its all brand new as one would expect.
But on the top metal part its almost as if the metal to the right has been purposely rubbed off. See pic.
The sticker you see on there now i put that on, but prior to that there was half a sticker left on there as if someone tore the other half off.
Its very strange!
Any ideas as to what is going on here!??

Thanks

Yup....I see that All the time on Lots of parts.

I think it's a case of they made too many/more then benz wanted so to be able to sell it outside of MB they need to remove the star...however I could be totally off base!

I just checked my Behr radiator I purchased from my MB parts supplier and it has a perfect circle slightly ground into the top of the radiator like in your photo. I can only assume that it was to remove the star.
