engine cranks, but it will not start revision

well, with the new fuel pressure regulator and cleaning out the fuel distributor it still is about the same ....does anyone know how to check the EHA and the mass air flow sensor?

I'm looking for any good ideas on what to check next....ps.to whoever toll me to check all the vacuum lines....I did and they are fine

I didn't go back and read your original thread, but are you getting gas and spark at the spark plugs?

You might want to read thru this thread...his finally would not start, and after chasing down parts, it turned out to be the wrong type spark plugs. Are you using the Bosch non-resistor type? Read post #92.

well I'm willing to try almost anything at this point, I have tech all of the sensors/major components and if this works I have waisted about two months (spare time) of extra unnecessary work...but I will be smiling

no smile just yet, I changed the plugs with a Bosch plug platinum 2 and the result was just the same, we are cranking butt we aren't starting....it would be happy with a stumble.....any more thoughts on this subject?......timing? how can you check a Ignition control module?

Mine did the exact same thing when I first got it (88 300TE). After finally getting fuel to flow and getting spark, still no start. For me, it turned out to be a bad fuel distributor that was allowing too much fuel to flow beyond the right mix for combustion. The center valve in the distrbutor was worn down below tolerance allowing fuel to flow by it flooding out the engine. Got a used one off ebay complete on the housing with sensor plate and it started up on first try. A lot of people told me that it couldn't be the problem because they don't ware out that bad, but....the car is running now and that is all I changed...... Good Luck
