Thanks for the schematic. I'm going to wire mine independent of the switches and turn them on and off via the mirror buttons.
I'm also going to tap into the timer circut from the dome so it comes on and off when you open a door. The mood light will be on with the dash/instruments, I never use the dimmer anyway.

Ok so the C-class base is plug and play? Looked like Rik had corner gaps that had to be filled and his mini visor overlaped his dome controls and wouldn't lay flat.
Your install looked like it had a smaller corner gaps and mini visor layed flat?

Here is an original W124 mount with a W140 auto dim S-class mirror.

via the mirror buttons? As in the homelink buttons? Hahah good joke man, i guarantee that wont work out for a whole bunch of reasons:
A) The homelink system is pretty isolated from the rest of the mirror circuitry
B) The pushbuttons are momentary contacts, so you would have to use some relays
C) There is no wires coming from the push buttons, they are soldered directly to the circuit board, you would have to do some precision soldering to get that to work.
D) Even if you were to overcame the a-c obstacles, take a moment to read the homelink owners guide and you will see that to program/clear garage codes from your mirror, you have to hold the outer two buttons for 30 seconds. So basically that would render your homelink useless which is 80% of the reason i did this mod to begin with.

Yes, the C-class base was plug and play. I dont know if/why rik has bigger gaps than me
