Advice appreciated: Transmission has only 15000 miles, slipping and jerky shifts. mercedes rebuilt # 116-270-17-01-88. Is this unit adjustable? Any suggestions? no leaks. Installed 5 years ago. Regards, Abe G

Yes the modulator can be adjusted. AssUme that it is in a early SL?

If the fluid level correct??

Try removing the vacuum line to the modulator & see how the trans shifts.

Should you still have troubles, I have a fellow in Mineola on Roslyn Rd off Jericho who can straighten it out for you.

I'd stay away from the lucas until the transmission is all but falling out of the car...
