C280 Blower Motor Problems

Hi...
I have a 95 C280 and there's no air coming out of the vents. The climatic control seems to be working - there are lights showing and when I change modes, I can hear the flaps inside the vents moving. So, I think it's probably the blower motor that's causing this problem.

I've check all fuses for the climatic control, including the blower motor fuse (#9). They all seem to be alright.

My question is, are there any other things that I should check before replacing the blower motor?

P.S. The car has been parked for the last 8 months without operating the blower...could it be stuck?

Thanks.

The blower motor electronic regulator is mounted to the motor.

You can check the power supply & command signals there.

Thanks. Can you please provide me additional information on where to locate this component. What about checking the blower itself? It was fine until it sat for several months. Thanksf!

The blower/motor assembly is located under the dashboard on the passenger side, and is accessed by removing a plastic dashboard panel that you can see if you look up from the passenger side footwell. If you have your owner's manual you can check to see if there are instructions for replacing the cabin air filter. That filter is located right next to the blower, and is accessed by removing the same panel.

Removing the blower itself is fairly easy. You just need a torx head screwdriver to remove it. I don't remember which size, but if I remember correctly there are three of these torx screws and then you just detach the wiring clip. The blower motor is attached to the blower.
