1997 C230 w202 Cruise Control problem

I just purchased a 1997 C230 and the cruise control doesn't work. I was wondering what part would be the culprit? I know the cruise control switch on the column, the brake pedal switch, and the intake under the hood has a part involved in the cruise control. Is there another component? Where is the brake pedal switch located at? I was familiar w/ the cruise amplifier and actuator on my ole 84 500sel w126. I fear this will be way different in set up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

100% computer controlled.. a MB scanner should be able to find the problem.

I bought a new switch to change it out. My original was disconnected under the steering column! I reconnected it and the cruise works fine! I have been using the cruise for at least a month with no issues. Weird i buy the part and get the courage to disassemble and find that. WHO WOULD OF EVER THOUGHT! thanks guys!
