need help engine quit update

here is a update to my dilemma.
I pulled the drivers side valve cover and 4 of the rocker arms come right out needless to say the intake valves are all bent the exhaust are all fine
the passenger side head pressure tested ok on all the cylinders after removing the rocker arms
I am still going to remove that head as well in order to reseal the top end of the engine.
I find it hard to believe that the one head is only damaged on a zero clearance engine I conceder my self lucky.
I am finding the passenger side exhaust manifold very difficult to remove as to getting to the rear lower bolts
the drivers side was a pain but got it. but I could not remove the steel bellows at the rear for the cross over and I think I might of damaged it
so I am looking for a replacement one now I also decided to remove the engine completely and reseal the engine and trans.
this will also give me the opportunity to remove the front timing chain cover and replace all the chain guides I used my bore scope to look inside
and do not trust the guides inside at all and want it right.
can anybody tell me how to remove the steel exhaust bellows ? is there a special way to do it or a certain tool to use for this?
I went on to a link that was posted for me to get info for this engine
http://eautorepair.net/ and signed up for a year.
but it is a little vague as to the timing settings for the cams.
can anybody tell me if there is a cam shaft fixture tool that hold the cams in the right position wile installing the chain
I have seen them on the net but says 1990 and up I bereave it is for the DOHC systems.
I have a 1987 420sel with 4.2 SOHC any more help would be grateful and if a link to the tool for this or the part number I am in the process
of purchasing tools from this site for doing the valve guides and the chain guide pin removal as well as others
I plan when finished to add these tool to the rental program when I am finished.
Thank you for any help provided on this.
