I've checked the archives and the MB Factory manuals, and I cannot find out the procedure to change out the brake caliper piston dust seals, specifically for W124 500E's steel calipers.
It is as simple as removing the old piston dust seal, and pushing on the new one? Yes, I will clean the area thoroughly BEFORE removing the old seal. Any caveats? Do you apply a little brake grease to the new seal during installation? Thanks in advance, :-) neil |
