Close sunroof message?

For a few months now I keep getting a message that says "close sunroof" even though the sunroof is closed. At first I didnt think much of it and thought it would go away and I also tried different sunroof variations but I still keep getting that message. The first time I got that message was after I took my 2000 S500 to the dealer to fix several things. Can this problem be related to the new instrument cluster I got installed a few months ago?

Yes, definitely. Even my most experienced tech's occasionally make mistakes when programming W220 instrument clusters. Depending on the error, a wide variety of strange issues can occur. Ask your dealer to re-check the version coding of the IC.
