Please help identify this part.

Does anyone know what this part does and where to buy one other then the dealer. Also the part number if you have it, I can't see one on the part itself.

It appears to give a point for the trunk lid to rest on so that it is easy to get it adjusted for an even crack around the edge.

These part numbers are for a 1986 300E, double check with Phil @ fastlane
