Rattle
Just developed a harsh rattle on 87 560sel just after changing starter, which I do not think has anything to do with it,
probably timing chain, 243000, never changed as far as I know. Compression 150-165 all aroud but does have a miss as idle. ?? Would I have this compression if the chain "jumped' and bent a valve?? Thanks John |

If you had a bent valve that was causing a miss you would be low on compression on that cylinder, I believe. Those numbers do not look at all low to me.
