Have ('83?) 300D turbo mercedes with leaky transmission fluid. Has been out of commission while son at college so will need new battery and tires. Any recommendations for where to take it in Lancaster Pa area so won't cost him a fortune?

Depends on what you need done or prefer a MB indy to do the work. I mean, if you just want a cheap battery and tires - a TiresPlus, Costco or PepBoys might be the cheapest? All are within reach. Can the car be driven?

I use Steffy's garage in Leola for my other cars...great group of guys, not the cheapest but very trustworthy...but I do everything on my MB myself. If I were to get into a jam - there is a euro garage right down the street that always has old benzo's sitting around.

Maybe try them for your trans problem? I have no personal experience with them...so take my opinion for what it's worth.
