W140 Front Suspension

Hello,

There is a thumping/rattling sound coming from the front end of the car while i go over bumps/potholes/grooves in the road, etc. I am thinking it is some sort of bushing/bearing that needs to be replaced. I don't experience the sound over smooth pavement, or LARGE potholes, just over little bumps, etc. Has any of you W140 owners experienced this? Any ideas on what it could be?

Thanks
Agron

I have the same noise in my S500, and it was diagnosed as sway bar links. Apparently very common in 140's with over 100K miles.
