Alarm HELP::..1987 E300 4DR, need to Disable Alarm

Long story short. My uncle bought this car from a second hand dealer for 2k, he then gave it to me as a present well because he coudlnt pass emissions.

I had it passed emssions.

I have never recieved an Remote Alarm. Just a Benz Key with a red dot. I want to disable the alarm. Can anyone please help, I like to get this car on the road. I understand that the alarm is part of the ignition.

Any info would happily appreciated.

For me it's always been as easy as just unplugging and removing the alarm control unit under the front passenger side carpet. I've heard people say that this effects the ignition system but that's not been the case for me. That looks like it in the picture - should be part number 126 820 08 26 or 126 820 24 26. Looks like a nice car.

Which connector do you unplug first? Looks like there are more than on from the picture. Or do you just unplug the one on the other end upper-left corner? Did you have to remove the negative battery cable first?
