"Module box" location in 1988 E420?
I spent some time at the local Pick and Pull yesterday and the day before, getting among other things the ABS components from a 1988 E420. One thing I couldn't find was the ABS electronic control unit (not the hydraulic pump, which I got), which my FSM says is in the "module box" for an 8-cylinder car. Where is this "module box?"

It's the black box where the battery would normally be, if it wasn't in the trunk. The lid comes off with 4 allen bolts. The ABS module just pulls up but gets a little stuck sometimes. It's nice to have some instrument pod pullers or big plyers to pull with.

OK, so it was a 420 SEL. That's not a W124, sorry. The ABS module was at engine center, between the two firewalls. And it was gone when I got back to Pick and Pull, oh well.
