"Module box" location in 1988 E420?

I spent some time at the local Pick and Pull yesterday and the day before, getting among other things the ABS components from a 1988 E420. One thing I couldn't find was the ABS electronic control unit (not the hydraulic pump, which I got), which my FSM says is in the "module box" for an 8-cylinder car. Where is this "module box?" No such thing as an 1988 E420. Correct model information would be helpful.

I'm a diesel guy, sorry. It was a W124 sedan, had a V8 gas engine and said 420-something on the back and the junkyard had painted 1988 on the left rear fender, as they always do.

It's the black box where the battery would normally be, if it wasn't in the trunk. The lid comes off with 4 allen bolts. The ABS module just pulls up but gets a little stuck sometimes. It's nice to have some instrument pod pullers or big plyers to pull with.

				Details, details....

OK, so it was a 420 SEL. That's not a W124, sorry. The ABS module was at engine center, between the two firewalls. And it was gone when I got back to Pick and Pull, oh well. Thanks for trying to help. Jeremy
