Fillister screw? How to remove?

I am planning on replacing my turn signal stalk and need to remove the steering wheel. The manual talks about a fillister screw. What do I use to remove it (size) and where can I get the tool (Sears?).

Thanks

This is on the 190 and the fillister things are holding the air bag to the steering wheel.

Guess that info might be helpful.

I think a fillister head is just another type like round, flat, hex etc. and may have phillips, Robertson, Torx, slot etc.

If I go to Sears and ask for "fillister remover" will they haul me a way to a padded room or will they point me to the fillister remover aisle?

In the shop manual it says I need a

TX 30 1.4" hex, 60 mm long

Yea, that sounds about right

Fillister is just the shape of the head and has nothing to do with your problem. Fillister just means it is flat on the sides and flat or just slightly rounded on the top. The matter at hand is what kind of driver does it need. And I think you are correct that it is Torx. I have one of those folding sets, like allen wrenches. That kind of set would probably work for you.

I bandsawed about 1" from the handle of a cheapo Torx screwdriver to make removing the airbag on my SL easier, given the limited clearance even with the steering wheel turned so that the access hole is at the 6 oclock position. You can get a set of these for under $10.00 at any auto supply store, used mainly for headlights and such I think.
