Exclamation Engine missing 500 SZEL

This is my first posting and first want to tell everyone just how cool it is for pro's and DIY's helping each other without the loftiness I have seen on other site forum's I belong to. I complement everyone and it is impressive.I had a miss and I narrowed it down to be a injector, or hoped it was. I sent all the injectors out for reconditioning to a reputable company. They came back like new. I have reinstalled them all cleaned up the usual "need to fixed' and "broke it when tasking apart " stuff. When I started the engine it was like I had the timing out of sequence. Fuel pump OK and has pressure. Recently tuned with new plugs, rotor and caps. I replaced the injector sleeves but did not smear allot of grease on them. It seemed to be more than just a couple missing injectors, but may be imagined as this car has allot of things that frankly after 30 years or wrenching with yeas on MBZ,has me intimidated.
The car ran strong until I went on short trip and believe I got some bad gas.
Is this an injector seal problem? Please help with all thoughts. Thanks a ton. Paul in LA

First, we need to know which 500SEL you have. There is the 84-85 500SEL and the 92 and later 500SEL. They are completely different cars. Different bodies and different engines.
