emergency road service ball joint

My 84 190e is on the side of the road and the tow truck is on its way. eta 2.5 hrs. Control arm is scraping on the ground. They will send a wrecker as opposed to a flat bed. What can I do so that I will be able to push it into my garage when it gets here?

Use a floor jack or dolly under the dragging part.
