I was told that Beru makes ignition modules for W126 V8s (TSZ 8 z), but are they 100% equivalent/compatible with original equipment?? (Bosch #0 227 100 042 / MB#002 545 26 32)
Beru are tempting as they are a lot cheaper then Bosch for new ones, and still worth thinking about comparing to Bosch rebuilds (exchange). |

The Beru module should be fine. The Bosch ones were nothing to get excited about...they did fail.
Why not use a module that's a bit more modern? I've been using the Bosch #0 227 100 114 in their place for 5 years. If one ever breaks I'm sure I'll hear about it. Same design, same connectors...just an integrated circuit type instead of a hard-wired version. Regards, Randy D. |

Hi Randy,
Could you tell me what cars use the modern module you mentioned? Thanks and regards, Bill |

Hi Bill,
The only car it came on was the 84 and 85 190E. Randy D. |
