Please Help 2000 E320 won't shift out of park
Hello, I have a 2000 E320 4 matic. The problem has happened twice now. I have gone out to warm up the car it starts fine and moves fine. If I drive it up to the front door go inside and let it warm up I come back out 10 or so minutes later and it will not shift out of park. Any ideas? Thank you for your time.

The shifter is a "computer". It must receive a signal from the brake lamp circuit to release.
Can you feel a "click" from the shifter when you depress the brake pedal with the key ON??
