My 560 SEL with 106,000 miles has started to emit blue smoke from the exhaust after the car has been idling at a stop light or in heavy traffic. Upon resuming speed it will smoke for 1 or 2 seconds then clears up. Oil consumption seems normal (very low). Does this indicate worn valve guides and if so what would be the cost to fix?

replac the valve guide oil seals. About 5.5 hours labor and two sets of seals. The guides should be fine for another 100k atleast.
