adjusting ignition timing 88 190e 2.3 us

to whom it may concer,
i was just wondering if the ignition timing for the 190e 2.3 {us}88 model be adjusted manualy?

if so. how is it done step by step, to what number of degree, where could i find the timing mark at the cranckshaft pully.

the reason for asking is that i would just like to put the car in it's tip top condition.

thanks.

Actually, it's probably adjustable with reference resistor. While you may not have the dial as it applies to euro vehicles in general, you might still have a connector with resistance plug on it. Different resistance values control the timing. This info applies to 6 cyl motors but I imagine it's the same for a 4. The second attachment shows the USA version.
