I say montone it. You can always replace those panels with new factory ones if need be.

There are books available to learn which Mercedes-Benz models may be collectible in the future...pick up a copy of Illustrated Buyers Guide: Mercedes-Benz by Frank Barrett with Alex Dearborn. But it is your car.....modify and enjoy it the way you want:D E.P. |
El presidente, I actually wanted a car with painted panels. To me the monotoned look looked , much better,a nd I would have had them painted anyway.
Some buyers want a car a certain way, some want it bone stock, some like it if its modded. I'm one of those I'll take it anyway it comes as long as the price is right kind of guys. :) hehe Alon |
Alon,
If you come to Atlanta for the mercedesshop opening (when that comes together), I invite you for a few beers.... Hell, maybe after a few, we'll even paint my lower panels:D :D :D E.P. |
hehe remember its 90% prep work. And lots of sanding with wet sandpaper. :)
As long as the brew is cold, I'll take you up on that offer if I manage to scoot down that way for the gathering. Which I hope to be able to do... but since I left my company, funds have been tight, since I only work a little now and then. But thats all good. I'm lucky to have my father helping me out, and I am working for him when I'm not out fixin computers. Alon |

Checking In
Greetings, Coupe Owners.
I have a 1992 300CE Sportline...purchased in Dec '01 with 92K miles. It's 040 black with the 265 mushroom interior. I've added the stock option Silverstone 10-CD changer which is integrated with the Becker Radio/Tape player. It has the Full Sound system which I think sounds pretty good for an early '90s stock MB system. I've put on some 8x16 8-hole wheels from an '95 SL500. The wheels had the paint stripped and then were polished to an almost chrome-like finish. Mounted on the wheels are 225/50x16 Nokian NRZi W-rated tires (169 mph sustained). These tires and wheels with the Sportline suspension makes this car really handle well. We've had the windows tinted (helps the air conditioner cool) which came in handy on our trip to Las Vegas recently ( First Annual MBcoupes Gathering ). We put nearly 5,000 miles of high speed desert and mountain driving on her and she performed flawlessly. Here's some pictures of Sophie. I couldn't be happier with the "little" Mercedes coupe. Damn! I love those pictures!!! They make me want to buy an SEC!!!!
That's a nice black coupe you have! BTW, Does tinting the windows really help cool the A/C? How dark is it? |
