I have driven both cars and they drive beautifully and of course the 94' E420 is faster than the 92'. My question is which is the most reliable and which items of concern should I look out for?

Thank You

Both are excellent cars. Pick the one you like best..

Go with the 94 E420....newer car...monotone paint....different headlights, hood, etc...all in all...just a better looking car...but both are fast..stick with the E420..

It doesn't really matter if you pick a newer model or older one. The exterior look is just a personal preference. However, pick the one with better mechanic cond. and full history....it may save you quit a bit later on....

If the 400E is a 92 or a early 93 it will be slightly faster than the E420. Minor differences in engine mangagement and whatnot... Not practically swap-able. Go with the car that has the best service history, paint condition, and feels the tightest. BTW, start saving for the 16x7.5 rims with 225/50/16 tires now. The stock 195/65/15's are more than overtaxed on both models.

Hope this helps...Lee

Shoot,16""? I've been rolling with 17" for 6 years on my 400E. Come on, we are talking a 275hp engine here.
