Cluster Program (2+ Hours?)

I recently installed an aftermarket Argos unit in my CLK430. For those of you not familer with Argos it allows the functionality of the built in phone features of the Mercedes to work with most all Bluetooth phones.

After installing the unit and pairing the phone with it, the phone works to dial and voice control and incoming call through the radio but the Pickup/Hangup buttons on the steering wheel respond with "function not activated" below the speedometer. After contacting the Argos reseller, they said if the feature had been disabled (so you dont have to scroll past it) then it would need to be re-enabled at the dealer.

I contacted the dealer and they said it would take 2 hours at $99.50 an hour to enable the phone feature using the Star Diagnostic Tool.

I work with computers and electronics all day and 2 hours to enable a feature sounds rediculus to me. Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks,
Brad

Actual time would be 20-30 minutes.

I found another dealer and they said it would take 30 minutes so I took it there. After about 30 minutes they came back and told me that the phone feature could not be activated becuse all the phone options were grayed out on the diagnostic tool because Mercedes no longer supports analog phones. The explination just doesnt make sense to me, if the phone had been installed at the factory and I purchased a bluetooth plug in, it would still need to be activated. It has nothing to do with being analog. Can anyone help? It looks like the two dealers close to my location cant figure this out.
