'91 190E 2.3 coolant loss
Experiencing coolant loss this weekend with our higher temps now in the L.A. area. I traced it to a coolant cap with a shot sealing gasket. As it was an emergency, I replaced the Mercedes cap stamped as '140' with a 20lb/sqin Stant - listed as a replacement. I understand from an archive search here the 140 means 1.4 atm, which IS about 20 lb/sqin. Is there any good reason to replace the Stant with an OEM part?
