Ash tray handle fell off
The wood handle to the ash tray on my '88 420SEL recently came un-glued. I assume it was because of the heat from being left outside in the sun for several days while getting the A/C fixed.
Anyway, I'd like to reattach it, but I'm not sure what kind of glue to use that would withstand the heat, and it being pulled in/out. The surface of the ashtray that it was attached to feels kind of like a sticky foam substance, it's hard to describe. What would stick to this well? Superglue? Thanks for any help. ![]() |
