Check the part number on the pump and build date on pump

Part should have MB Logo and part number and also a build date for the part. It should not be that different from the date of install (maybe a year or two) but if it says 5 or 6 yesrs then I would think its a used part.

Oh and I found my reciept it says I had this pump changed on 5/17/07 so about 10 months ago. Hopefully theres a warranty.

hmm for some reason it says pics are to big.

So what i did was loaded them onto my pics on my space.

just click here for the link.

Can anyone tell me if this is straight from mercedes? Or any info you can tell me about this pump from the pics?

I found out the pump is from a place called programa I think. I looked at it and the site says theres 2 or 3 year warranty's.

So it looks like I will have to get the mechanic to agree to replace it and hopefully he stands by his work.

I called him last night and left a message, just waiting to hear back from him to know what's the deal.

Programa is a Remanufacturer

I have had problems in the past with Programa remanufactured parts (ECU's, AMM's, etc).
Contact them about replacement of the defective part and also find out what is the cost of the part (then see how much your mechanic screwed you for...)
