Question about W211 2003 E320 oil change procedure
I want to do it myself and by the drain method, not the Topsider method. Can I access the drain plug by only removing the front plastic plate/splash guard/skid plate? Or do I have to remove the one behind that too.
The car doesn't have a dipstick and the oil level is measured electronically. Does it have a port to use a Topsider? I don't yet have a Topsider. |

The engine does have a sealed engine OIL dipstick tube that can be used to "topside" the oil.
You need to remove the engine plastic under-body panel only.

Where is the oil dipstick tube located? On my W211, an '04 E320, I see only one tube located toward the rear of the engine, passenger side. It appears this is likely the transmission dipstick tube.
I removed the plastic engine cover and still no other tube. Anyone? |
