Cruise control not working 1989 190 E 2.6
The cuise on this can has not worked since I owed it (about 4 years). I see and hear nothing when tripping the lever.
I have read various posts here for other modesl. I see reference to an AMP, the acutator, and for a place that rebuilds them called GDL. I know little about these parts, where they are located, etc. I'd appreciate some direction on where to look and how to work on this problem. Thanks. Dan |

The problem could be weak solder points in the cruise control computer. Re-flowing these solder points is usually the fix. An easy way to diagnose this is to swap in a known good computer to see if the cruise control suddenly works.
