Cruise control not working 1989 190 E 2.6

The cuise on this can has not worked since I owed it (about 4 years). I see and hear nothing when tripping the lever.

I have read various posts here for other modesl. I see reference to an AMP, the acutator, and for a place that rebuilds them called GDL.

I know little about these parts, where they are located, etc. I'd appreciate some direction on where to look and how to work on this problem.

Thanks.

Dan

The problem could be weak solder points in the cruise control computer. Re-flowing these solder points is usually the fix. An easy way to diagnose this is to swap in a known good computer to see if the cruise control suddenly works.
