I have tranny fluid leaking from the the linkage entry into the transmission housing. What's involved in replacing the seal? Thanks.

Do you mean an external leak at the shift selector shaft seal?
That take about 1.5 hrs.

I have a external leak on the Shift selector shaft ,1997 E300D , 722.6 , How to replace seal ?

Still leaking , now 390,000 miles . Leaks about a pint every 3000 miles ?
