Red face A Bart Simison move oops!!!

My sister is finally going to sell her 1989 300-E. I suggested a couple of cheap repairs. One was to change out the washer bottle that was some how not holding washer fluid. So I found a good used one and tried to remove the sensor plug by pulling it toward me with a pliers.

This was a Bart Simison move!!! it cracked and the two plugs fell out of the black plug holder. Not a good move. I looked at the wiring but the only way to repair it would be to cut the harness off a salvaged car and have the harness mid way cut and reconnected.

since the car is not perfect not by my own doing may I say. I taped the two connectores with electrical tape and pluged them back in to the reservoir connection on the bottle.

I now know what not to do with old fragil plastic brittle Mercedes-Benz plugs. so there I screwed up. But the car runs fine and after a two day wash and auto detail its looks new again.
