1996 C280 Running Temperature

Hello,

I'm looking at purchasing a 1996 c280. I test drove one yesterday with 69k miles, still the the original owner and it seemed to be in great mechanical condition, she's asking $5,500. One thing I noticed was that the thermostat stayed between 80 and 120 which is on the high side and different from any other car I've seen.

Question: Is this a normal temperature for these cars to run at?

Thanks for the help.

80 - 90 is fairly normal, 120 is a bit on the high side.
