waterpump replacement
Any one have any helpful hints to successfully replaceing a waterpump on a 1993 300SL?

If it's anything like the one on a '91 300SE it's a pain. Have to remove a good deal of the front of the engine.
Radiator, fan, pulleys and tensioner, etc. Get the CD if you don't have it already. The only tip I have is the AC compressor didn't need to be removed. As always get your parts from our fine hosts. You'll be surprised but the OEM parts you can get here are the same or cheaper than what you can get at your local store. Good luck Steve

There are one or two short hoses. It's cost effective to replace those while you are swapping the pump, rather than re-using the old ones. I replaced my tensioner and serpentine belt at the same time too, just to get a fresh start.
