Finally got the A/C going in my 560... have a few questions with it:
My in gear, idle RPM is around 500-550rpm... is this normal or does it seem low? When the A/C is off the idle comes up a bit higher... maybe 75-150rpm. Hot idle is around 900rpm, in park/neutral. It appears I have a leaking vac pod or malfunctioning climate head. I have weak center vent flow and most is blowing to the windshield. I have no problem testing the pods, but is there a way to test the climate head (if the head itself could cause this). Thanks

If it's like the 560SL, you can find the vacuum distributor, probably behind the glove box. It has like 5 vacuum connections, and an electrical connector. One connection is engine vacuum. The others go to the pods. You can disconnect each pod line and put a vacuum gauge on the connector. With the engine running, push the appropriate button and see if gauge shows vacuum.
