Is there a way to adjust the final position of the trunk after the close assist pulls down the trunk? Mine pulls down and then pops up a little bit (the close aide works) but doesn't seem to keep trunk inline with rest of body.

From inside the trunk. Loosen the lock plate, lower, and retight.

Hate to ask dumb question - but is that the bottom of trunk or on the lid?

Open trunk, remove bottom plastic cover rail. You should see the square lock, loosen 3 screws, and adjust.
