Reset fss

I read some some of the posts on FSS reset, but it does not work.

How to reset schedule C service on 2006 E350.

scrol to mileage, key in position 1, preset reset 3x, scroll thru maintenace menu to confirm service, accept, done.

I am not sure how to get to the mileage and maintenance page. Can you provide more detail instructions.

The buttons on the steering wheel. use them to scroll.

I tried, but it didn't work

I tried to follow Johnhef's suggestion, but can not get further than my current "Service excessed 2122 miles" I am not able to get to the Maintence page.

I've never tried to reset one manually, but I've heard that if you exceed the interval you need to do the reset properly with the tool. All hearsay though.

Definitely hearsay. If the re-set is done correctly it doesn't matter if it's past due.

jylee, are you sure the key is in position 1? Johnhef's instructions may be brief, but they're accurate.

Does the front door have to be closed too? Won't take on my 99 otherwise.

MBdoc sent me a personel archive. It was a two pages step by step instruction. Thanks doc for the resue.
