little help with Cooling system ...
The light for the raidator in my dash is on in my 2000 ml 320 ..... I opened the hood and took a look , when facing the motor after I open the hood , there is " I Think " a reserve small tank in the far back (below the windsheild ) , there is a small hose , ( Maybe 1/2 inch ) right below the cap on that small tank , I followed the hose only to see that it is disconnected , I looked around and can't see where it belongs , any idea's or any DIY's that I can take a look at to see where this hose is supposed to be connected too ?? ...............Thank you

I'm not familaiar with your model, but in general if the cap is metal, then it would be the expansion tank for the radiator and most definitely needs to be reconnected. And your engine is probably overheating as well. If it's a plastic snap-on cap, it's the windshield washer tank - less important, but you should reconnect this too.

The light is telling you you're low on coolant. So you might want to get some 50/50 mix of MB coolant and water and refill the expansion tank.
The hose you're following is most likely an overflow hose for either the windshield washer reservoir or the coolant expansion tank. Either way, one end of it is *supposed to be* disconnected. Regarding the cap type: If it is a snap-on type cap, then you're found the windshield washer reservoir. On all my cars the cap is imprinted with the windshield/squirting water icon. The coolant expansion will have a screw-on type cap because it is required to hold pressure. It will also have the same symbol on it as your coolant warning light. There will also most likely be a warning sticker telling you not to open it when it is hot. Good advice. I suggest you follow it.
