Nix'n the Emissions systems on the m117
I want to get rid of the supplementary emission stuff off my M117 while im in the engine doing my head's. . any one done this or have any thoughts on it? I already have removed my cats, however I want to remove the rest of the system as it is highly restrictive and we do not have inspections here in FL. I think it'll complement the euro heads I plan on installing quite nicely.

One Word!
Don't.
Put the cats back on, it's a violation of both Federal and State law. Tampering with emission systems.

Well, you could get a pre-cat exhaust, I think, and pre-emissions camshafts, but altering the timing advance curve and mixture control is going to be a real pain -- if that has K-Jet, parts are not going to be available for a non-emissions control system, they didn't exist.
