87 190e 2.3 16v runs but doesent move!?

well its a automatic 16v

been having this clunking noise when it down shifts or turning a corner....last couple days id go slow and it would clunk and lock up and skreech to a stop and cant go into park so id have to go down to second and shift back up to park.

now it runs but doesent move. in park you can hear maybe the drive shaft rotating and when you go to drive nothing and from when shifting from drive to park you can hear this ratcheting noise....

and in park doesent stay you can roll it back and fourth

a friends dad said it could be a flex disc?

i have yet to check it...dont have tools here where i live they are all at my moms...booo to 1 car garage...well when i was at my moms i dident have one there lol

Well, sometimes its not good to ignore obvious signs of trouble.

It could be flex discs, broken drive shaft or broken half shaft or cv joint.
