Question 99 E430 spark plug wire removal

This may seem trivial but I don't want to break anything. Question is - How do I remove the wires so plugs can be changed. I've never done this on a Mercedes and at a glance it doesn't resemble an american or japanese car.

Thanks much for any assistance!

plug wires

Use a spark plug boot puller tool available at all auto parts stores. Benz uses a resistor plug cap that is easily destroyed if you pull on the wire.

A 17mm wrench works in a pinch as well on those M112 and M113 plug wires.

WIS procedures always list special tools required for the job.

You can get them for your car by purchasing the W210 Service DVD at 800.for.merc
