Duovalve causing me hot air??
Finally got AC back to my 95, however, the climate control is giving me problem. If I just turn on the A/C (coldest setting) as normal, I will get warm hot in the 2 center vent and hot on the 2 side vents. If I press the blue button in the center, I will get cold air (~45F) in the center vent, but still hot on the outside vents.
This is forcing me to shut off the outside vents and only uses the 2 center vents for cooling. The evaporator temp (code 5)from the climinate control is showing 42F, so I know the system is not low on freon. Is this a classic duovalve stuck open symptons? Also my driver side temp wheel is all over the place. I move the wheel a slight amount and the temp can jump 10F, it is very hard to control temperature on the driver side. Is this common?

Pinch off the hose going from the duovalve to the engine and check again.

I think the a/c is one of the weak points on W124s. It works but the whole system just seems overengineered to me. Plus I know very few W124s that haven't had the evaporator replaced by now. On my wagon the up/down air flow button requires the side vents to be closed half for max a/c performance (per the manual). With the down only button pushed, I have found that I can open the side vents a little and some cold comes out.. I replaced the duovalve as well (but for other symptoms)
