'88 300e Alarms Goes Off When Doors Locked
Hello,
I have an '88 300e and the factory alarm seems to be reversed. When I lock the doors with the key, the vacuum pump locks all the doors and the alarm starts to go off. Doors lock fine if I stick my hand through the back door and press the front latch. Anyone have insight? Thanks, lmarty1359 |

Answer:
Possible mechanical damage in the door switch, and/or the module is going bad.

Iffy Alarm module.
Pull up the front passenger carpet and black floor board cover...remove plug from Module. IIRC the radio theft wire unplugged will do that. Hate to tell you this, but it's unlikely to be stolen. ![]() I have a '92..... pulled mine years ago. .
