Unhappy 560 SEC dont start anymore

Everything was ok, came home for lunch, got back into the car and...nothing. All the accesories work, I turn the key and nothing happend. There is a "cliking" sound comming from a black box on the inside of the driver side's fender. Nothing else to report and no previous symptoms of failure.

Tried to boost the car without results

Battery problem? Starter? any fail-safe device on the car that send a wrong signal?

I would appreciate any suggestions

I looked at the first 10 pages of questions and didnt find anything relating to this particular problem.

Thanks in advance

Chriss

Interlock switch at transmission?

Try starting the car in neutral?

Thanks,

I tried. At first, the transmission was stuck in park, with my foot on the brake and the switch on of course. Finally, I was able to put it in neutral and same result.

Usually, the engine will not start if your feet is not on the brake. Can it be a false signal somewere?

bests regards

just to add some information...

A week ago, I discovered an electrical problem with one of the 2 horns. When I used it, I blew the fuse (that control the horn, the exterior temp. gauge ant the turning signals). I replace the fuse and did not use the horn. I didn't have the time to fix the horn yet.

Can it be related to my actual problem or it is 2 seperate problems?

I fail to see a relation but since it is electrical...

You could take a volt meter to see if you are getting voltage at the interlock switch. You should get voltage at first then it should go done to 0.

Sound like a good idea, but to be honest, I have no idea what the "interlock switch" is and where to find it! I am really a green beginner in this.

Thanks again

its on the side of the transmission and you will see wires going to it. Its like the only thing electrical on the transmission
