Pictures of M103 engine
If you could post some pictures of the front of a M103, I would appreciate it. I need to know how the TDC sensor fits in terms of the bracket that sits by it. I also need to know which bolts (regular or the 6 mm hex's) that go into each specific hole in the timing chain cover.
Thanks |

Michael, you might try a search in the Do It Yourself articles at the top of the Forum page. just scan thru possible articles relating to the 103 and clock once on them. There should be some good photos in some of them.

What Bracket?
What bracket are you referring to Mike? You refer to the TDC sensor in the front of the M103. There is that little sensor which is mounted there and it is bonded to a little bracket and then screws in with one screw just above the damper pulley ect. Then there is the end extension of the belt tightener (it might be called a bracket) which runs behind that sensor. You refer to the sensor as TDC, I thought the sensor was the tachometer sensor. But whatever, is that the sensor in question, just above the damper with a rather heavy, silver colored, (like duct tape) cord running up and over to the driver side fender. I do have an M103 in my garage, (tucked away pretty good-out of site, out of mind), but if I could get a better feel for what you are looking for I might be inclined to pull it out and get you some pictures-tomorrow. Since I have not figured out how to get pictures on the forum, PM me with your request.
