Merc 280 S 116 1979 CENTRAL LOCKING

Good Day Readers

I cannot locate the vacuum tank for the central vacuum door lock system.. Have some fault because the car must be running to activate the locks in any way.

any tips on access or typical faults that cause vacuum loss will be very much appreciated.

also--do these cars have in-line fuel filters before the carburettor? mine has no visible filter but there may be one somewhere hidden! Can I fit one in-line in the simple conventional way??

Many thanks

ed Cumings
