Elektrcal problems

Hi.

I hope someone can help me out here.

Over the night suddently some of the elektrcal euquipment stoped working on my W124 1991 (300E-24)

My viper arm dossent work in any position and the same with the sprinkler.
also my elektrical Windows lifters dos not work, only if I open the doors???

The same with my sunroof this won´t work either.

My heated rear window only works as loong as I push the botton.

The high beam light only works in the permanent position and not if I flash it by pulling the contakt.

I have checked the fusebox and I was thinking it might be a relay boks or something like that.
I hope someone got an idéa

Best regards
BRABUS

First I guess...you need to check the alternator output.

At idle it should be 13.4 volts or higher with no electrical load.

At higher rpm ....1500 to 2000 rpm it should be around 13.60volts to 14.3volts or so.

Although you checked the fuses...they have a problem that causes high resistance at the contact points at the fuse blades.

If they are the ceramic 8, 10, and25 amp type...roll them with your finger to make better contact to the fuse box blades....corrosion on the aluminium type fuses are always doing this.

Living where you, do I suspect this is a wide spread problem.

I always try to find the brass strip fuses and spray them with WD40..

I know the problem, but again all these faults came at the same time, and many of the things are not using the same fuses, so it would alsomt be amazing if more than one would do this at the same taime (My thoughts)

Problem solved

I found the problem.

It was my multi purpose relay that also controles the hazzard and viper etc... a lot of other stuff.

This relay had somehow jumped a bit out in its socket.
I put it back and put some soft tape material on the top of the relay so it wont jumo out again, this way the cover will push on the top of the relay.
I don´t know why it jumped out because it actualy sits prety tight when first pushed in the socket.
The relay is located behind the fuse boks and the relay has the letter "H" in the boks, you will need to remove the screws around the fuse boks to get in to the relay boks.

my soft tape trick was just to be sure it wont happend again.
