Restraint system defective Take to workshop message also SRS light - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Hello all,

I purchased a 2005 CLK320 a little while ago and love it, but today a message appeared in the speedometer display screen that read "The Restraint system is defective, please take to work shop" . Also SRS light came on. I have read the forum and did not find any help. Maybe someone could point me in the right direction.

You need to have the car inspected for a stored SRS code/fault
Is the car still under the MB warranty 4/50?

If Not try a Autopart store and get the info

Can be as simple as a connection on a air bag
or seat belt buckle/sensor pad

Is an OBDII scanner going to read that module?
