I have replaced the fuel pump and the crank sensor and the car has plenty of gas. It has 198k miles but still wont crank over. I put the key it, the engine turns and turns and turns and just wont kick over. I am unsure what to do next. Can someone please help me.

Fuel pump and crank sensor aren't cheap - what led you to believe they needed replacing? Did you check for spark?

If the gas comes at the motor with suitable pressure i would check for injector activity because it is easier than checking spark. If there is none i'd smack the K40 relay around a bit.

I suppose current ramping is out, maybe audibly.

Isn't it near the ECU?

Did you have any luck with this, as I have a similar problem with my 1997 e320?
