any good recs for engine oil in m110
I just bought a 1984 euro 280e.
The car has 88,400 miles on it and the PO used castrol oil. I have a w124 diesel that I use mobil 1 oil and am really happy with the oil. I wanted to get recs for mobil 1 in my w123 as I wanted superior flow with the twin cams but did not want the engine to start leaking..... any thoughts would be appreciated.... thanks for reading |

Depends if you want to exceed 7500 miles between your oil changes. If not, I have come to love "diesel oil" 15W/40 in my W124 wagon. My old mechanic who is a diesel specialist had it in bulk. Truth be told, I switched to 5W/30 so I could run the same oil as my Chevy, but in the spring I'm going back. Delo (Chevron) and Rotella (Shell) are highly rated. It's only a matter of whether you can afford the synth stuff if you change regularly.
